At Palo Alto Networks, we are relentlessly focused on delivering the best security for our customers. A key part of that commitment is engaging in independent, third-party testing to validate our technology and provide transparent benchmarks for the industry.

For six years, we have been proud participants in the MITRE ATT&CK® Evaluations, which have provided valuable insights for us and our customers. In the past two evaluations, Cortex XDR achieved unprecedented results, with 100% technique-level detections delivered without delays or configuration changes—a testament to our leadership in the industry.

After thoughtful evaluation of our priorities, we have decided to adjust the focus of our engineering and testing resources and will not be participating in this year’s MITRE evaluation. This decision enables us to further accelerate critical platform innovations that directly address our customers' most pressing security challenges and respond even faster to the evolving threat landscape.

Our belief in the importance of independent validation remains central to our approach. We continue to actively participate in numerous other third-party tests to ensure our customers have clear, objective data on our performance. Our recent results underscore this commitment:

We value our relationship with the MITRE team and the important role their evaluations play in advancing cybersecurity standards across the industry.
