Prisma Access Panorama Cloud Services Plugin End-of-Life & Updated Lifecycle Policy

Effective September 21, 2026, Palo Alto Networks is announcing the End-of-Life (EOL) for Prisma Access Panorama Cloud Services Plugin version 6.0 and all prior versions, effective February 28, 2027.

Full support for legacy Cloud Services Plugin versions (6.0 and prior) will continue through February 27, 2027. New hotfix updates will no longer be generated for plugin versions 6.0 and lower, starting September 30, 2026. Customers currently running these older versions are required to upgrade to the latest supported plugin available in the Customer Support Portal.

Additionally, Palo Alto Networks is introducing a 18-Month Lifecycle Policy for all future releases of the Prisma Access Panorama Cloud Services Plugin.

End of Life for Panorama-based Prisma Access multi-tenancy for New customers

To ensure our customers and partners continue to benefit from the most advanced and scalable cloud management capabilities, we are evolving our approach to Prisma Access multi-tenancy.

        • Effective April 15, 2026, Panorama-based Prisma Access multi-tenancy will no longer be available for new (greenfield) deployments.
        • No impact to existing customers: Organizations currently using Panorama multi-tenancy may continue operating with full support, with no required changes to their environments or day-to-day operations.
        • Ongoing support commitment: Existing deployments will remain fully supported. However, as innovation shifts toward next-generation platforms, certain features introduced after April 15, 2026, may be available exclusively through the newer Strata Cloud Manager (SCM) platform.
        • Recommendation: We strongly recommend migrating from Panorama multi-tenancy to SCM multi-tenancy to take advantage of future enhancements and capabilities. Please contact your Palo Alto Networks account team for more details on the migration process.

For new customers and partners onboarding new deployments, we recommend SCM multi-tenancy. This platform delivers:

        • Enhanced capabilities and faster access to new innovations
        • Deeper integrations across the Strata portfolio
        • A more intuitive, streamlined management experience designed for scale

By adopting SCM platform from day one, customers can take advantage of the latest functionality while simplifying operations and preparing for future growth.

This platform evolution reflects our continued commitment to our customers and partners, prioritizing operational simplicity, long-term scalability, and a future-ready cloud management experience.

End of Life for Prisma Access Panorama Cloud Services Plugin Versions

Effective December 15, 2025, Palo Alto Networks announces the End-of-Life for all Prisma Access Panorama Cloud Services Plugin versions prior to 5.2 on April 30, 2026. We will continue to support the legacy Cloud Services Plugin versions through April 29, 2026. Existing customers on older plugin versions are required to upgrade to the latest Panorama Plugin versions available in the Customer Support Portal.

Palo Alto Networks is announcing the End-of-Sale (EOS) and End-of-Life (EOL) for its Cloud Security Service Providers (“CSSP”) program. This decision is part of our ongoing effort to streamline our offerings and provide a more unified and scalable platform for our partners.

        Affected SKUs

All PAN-VM-**SP**-BND-YU/MU/HU SKUs under CSSP program such as:
        PAN-VM-100-SP-PREM-BND2-YU,
        PAN-VM-50-SP-PREM-BND2-YU etc.

        Key Dates

        • End-of-Sale (EOS): April 1, 2026. After this date, no new CSSP licenses can be purchased.
        • End-of-Life (EOL): October 1, 2026. On this date, all CSSP services will cease to be supported.

        Action Required for Partners

To ensure a smooth transition and maintain uninterrupted service for your customers, all partners participating in the authorized CSSP program must migrate their licenses to either the new Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) Pay-as-you-go (PAYG) SKU (reach out to mssp_payg_support@paloaltonetworks.com) or Software NGFW Credits.

The MSSP PAYG model provides a flexible, scalable, and consumption-based licensing structure that is better aligned with the needs of modern security service providers.

Products eventually reach their natural end of life for various reasons including new and better technologies becoming available, marketplace changes, or source parts and technologies are unavailable. This is part of any technology product’s lifecycle. It is Palo Alto Networks goal to make this process as seamless as possible for you and our partners, and to provide as much visibility into what you can expect during the process.

Machine or Human-led? The Future SOC in a Cloud-first World

Automating security tasks has long been a priority for security leaders, driven by growing network complexity, a proliferation of human and machine identities, and a shortage of skilled defenders. This was highlighted in a recent IDC survey, where security automation was the number one European CISO investment priority for 2025. Automation in a SOC offers the prospect of greater cost efficiency, reduced manual tasks, improved threat detection and response, and ultimately better risk management. These are highly attractive benefits for organizations who are migrating to cloud or pursuing a cloud-first strategy, and CISOs in these organizations are attracted to the visibility and scalability offered by cloud-first SOCs. So how can UK Public Sector organizations improve the automation of security operations, and how will this change as SOCs are increasingly cloud-first? And, in this future environment, when is a human in the loop – or a machine – preferable or essential? Listen now, to experts from IDC and Palo Alto Networks who discussed the key challenges to SOC automation and offered recommendations for UK public sector security leaders.

Browse Bravely with Prisma Browser for Business

Attackers target small businesses through the browser every day. And AI has made their attacks sophisticated enough to slip past employees and the tools meant to stop them. Antivirus, VPNs, and identity monitoring weren't built for this. They don't protect the browser where the work - and the attacks - happen. You'll see first-hand how Prisma Browser for Business addresses security gaps for small businesses by extending Zero Trust to the browser through a live product demo and a presentation. It is easy to use and setup just like the browser you are using today. We look forward to seeing you there. Please note : The product is for US customers only.
